Once upon a time, Chicago was the epicenter of drum manufacturing in the USA. That star may have faded a bit but there is still a ton of great items being produced here. Fortunately for all of us, my pal Lucian has had enough sense to bring all of the manufacturers together under one roof (i. e. the Deagan building), at the Made in Chicago Drum Cafe. I’ve had the pleasure of stopping by a few times now. You should as well.

United
As a preview to the upcoming KT’s Kids fundraiser a special track has been posted on Spotify. It was a real blast to lay down drums for a cover of “United” by Judas Priest with some of Chicago’s finest. The vast majority of funds from this go directly to the charity, so please, play often and leave it on repeat.

Down with the Kids

Over the holiday weekend I laid some tracks down for the upcoming KT’s Kids fundraiser. This year the event will be once again open to the public at Liars Club. If you’re not from Chicago it will be livestreamed on the Liars Club YouTube channel. More details closer to the date.
Prep Time!

Today Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, IL had me in to conduct a masterclass with the percussion section. We dove deep into technique, rudiments, and musicality. What a great team. What a great way to spend the afternoon. Massive thanks to Kyle Baltzer for arranging things.
Easy, Killer
Wrapping up Labor Day with some last minute tracking in Logic. Things are sounding right on the money.
Saturday Night’s All Right For Tracking
What better way to spend a Saturday night than laying down some tracks for new MAMA single. Rock Steady, indeed.
Feels So Good
Great to be back in action last Saturday night

Wax Trax! Radio streaming on Twitch.tv was cool enough to feature a video I shot with Sweet Figurines a while back. Check it out here:
